Coronavirus working practice
We have carried out a detailed risk assessment and are following government guidelines with regard to working in people's houses.
What I will do to minimise the risk:
- Every morning before work I will check my temperature
- I will lay down fresh poly backed cordura dust sheets on your floor which will be replaced or cleaned between visits
- I will wear a P3 mask, clean gloves, overalls and boots for the time I am inside your house
- Soot and any other waste will be bagged and left in your wheelie bin
What I will ask you to do to minimise the risk:
- Before I arrive I will ask you to ensure I have a clear path to the appliance and a clear area of approximately 8 x 8 ft to work in
- Ensure that all companion setts and ornaments are removed from the working area
- Unless the weather prohibits it open a window in the room 30 minutes prior to my arrival. It would also be wise to leave it open for a period of time once I have left
- If anyone in your household develops any coronavirus symptoms please let me know and the appointment will need to be re arranged.
If anyone in your household develops symptoms up to two weeks after my visit please contact me and let me know and I will do the same.
